about vancouver cycling collective

The idea for Vancouver Cycling Collective is partially inspired by my pal Tyrone, who does a lot of good stuff for the cycling community in Vancouver. 

On a snowy Vancouver day (February 2025),  we chatted over coffee about various initiatives we both have on the go and in the middle of the conversation, I had an idea - A database with all the different clubs, communities, retailers and other services for cyclists in the Greater Vancouver area.

I started working on the database right away, but quickly realized that it will need to adjusted constantly and then I will need to let people know I made some changes… So perhaps there is a better way, like a newsletter format with a resource area and events calendar.

There are so many clubs, groups, initiatives, discord channels and more for cyclists in Vancouver, but it is hard to find out about many of them, not to mention stay up to date on everything. Everything seems a bit scattered. Even if you follow all of them all social media, it can get overwhelming (Also, if you’re like me, perhaps you are getting a bit tired of social media…?)

So, here we go. A website and a newsletter that curates updates from different clubs, communities, retailers, other services for cyclists (and multisport athletes), group rides and events in the Greater Vancouver area, so you know what is happening in our community.
